13.6  The Facts

Finally there are some facts that you must understand when it comes to deciding on which job to take. You may not have done enough to get that right job. Here are the facts:

Fact #1: The average length of time it takes to get a job is three to six months.

Fact #2: Looking for work is a full time job. That means you need to work at finding a job 40 hours per week.

Fact #3: You need to commit yourself to finding a good job! The best use of your time is to find the best job for you.

Fact #4: If you waste your time on a substandard job, you waste your life.

Just make sure that you are not selling yourself short by taking an inferior offer. You are worth more than that. You deserve a great job in a great organization where you can thrive and make a difference. Don't settle for anything less. Keep working until you find the right job in the right place. You will be glad you did!
